En avril 2023, dans le cadre du festival de littérature Frye, Rhonda Miller (Halifax, NB) est venu offrir un atelier de reliure à l’Atelier d’estampe Imago.
Dans cet atelier, les participantes ont appris à fabriquer un livre en utilisant la technique de la reliure à plat cousue. La reliure à plat cousue est une réinvention moderne de certaines techniques de reliure très anciennes. Il s'agit d'une structure de reliure polyvalente qui produit un livre à l'aspect lisse et fini, adaptée aux journaux ou aux petites éditions.
In April 2023, as part of the Frye Literature Festival, Rhonda Miller (Halifax, NB) offered a bookbinding workshop at the Imago.
In this workshop, participants learned how to make a using the sewn board binding technique. The sewn board binding is a modern reinvention of some very old bookbinding techniques. It is a versatile binding structure that produces a book with a smooth and finished appearance suitable for journals or small editions.
