Participants will learn about CMYK screen printing, or 4-colour process printing, to convert photographic images into full-colour screen prints. Participants will learn basic techniques to create a photographic screen print using cyan, magenta, yellow and black inks, and create halftone separations using image editing software.
Meggan Winsley is a Toronto based artist and screen printer. She received her BFA, with a major in printmaking, from York University in 2004 and the Art Fundamentals Certificate from Sheridan College in 1999. In 2005, Meggan continued her print practice by joining Open Studio and shortly after, began instructing workshops. She currently instructs screen printing classes and workshops, prints custom projects, as well as her own work. Her work is in both public and private collections and has been exhibited in both Canada and internationally.
