BIO(LOGIE)
Un X de maman, un Y de papa et 31 ans plus tard nous sommes ici. La côte est ma compagne constante, si ce n'est qu'en termes anthropomorphiques. Je tire une inspiration infinie dans les formes, les lignes et la palette de mon Nouveau-Brunswick natal. Je travaille principalement la photographie et la sérigraphie. Je suis aussi un enseignant de biologie au secondaire.
Cette série d’estampes est parmi la première que j’ai imprimée en tant que membre à Imago. Avant cela j’imprimais dans mon appartement avec un kit speedball médiocre que j’ai reçu à Noël qui prenait 45 min à exposer un écran dont je devais ensuite rincer dans la douche.
Cette série est à partir de ma collection de photos de plusieurs de mes endroits préférés au Nouveau-Brunswick. La couleur unique évoque l’impression d’un endroit pas nécessairement ce qui est visible.

BIO(LOGY)
An X from mom, a Y from dad and 31 years later here we are. The coast is my constant companion, if only in anthropomorphic terms. I derive infinite inspiration from shapes, lines, and the color palette of my native New Brunswick. I work primarily in photography and printmaking. I am also a high school biology teacher.
These are some of the first images I made at Imago, and certainly the first full series. Before these I was printing out of my apartment with a mediocre speedball starter kit I got for christmas, using a 500 watt construction lamp that took 45 mins to expose my emulsion, and rinsing in the shower.
The images are all from my photography and feature some of my most cherished New Brunswick locations. The single color in each is meant to evoke the feeling of the place, not the necessarily what can be seen.
