Vernissage Épistola ce samedi le 2 mai à 17h dans le cadre du Festival Frye à Imago. Une démonstration sera donnée par Carole Deveau sur l’impression typographique (letterpress).
L’auteur envoie une lettre par la poste à l’artiste. Celle-ci peut contenir un mot, un poème, une phrase, une photo, etc. L’artiste répond également par la poste avec une image, un objet, une lettre: la correspondance dure trois mois. The writer sends a letter by mail to the printmaker. It can be a word, a sentence, a poem, anything. They begin a three month correspondence. The artist reciprocates with an image, an object, a letter and so on and so forth for 3 months.
The results of this exchange will be shown on the first floor of the Centre culturel Aberdeen. The opening will take place on Saturday May 2nd at 5pm. The artist, Mathieu Léger and the author, Mathieu Arsenault will be present. Carole Deveau will give a demonstration of letterpress printing.
This project is a collaboration between The Frye Festival and l'atelier d'estampe Imago.
