L’atelier d’estampe Imago en collaboration avec le Festival Frye présente la deuxième édition du projet

Épistola. Cette initiative est un projet de jumelage entre un écrivain et un artiste estampier.

Épistola (Épître en français)

Le terme épître est un mot archaïque, issu du latin epistola, du grec επιστολη (epistolē), qui désigne une lettre (au sens de correspondance). 1

L’auteur envoie une lettre par la poste à l’artiste. Celle-ci peut contenir un mot, un poème, une phrase, une photo, etc. L’artiste répond également par la poste avec une image, un objet. La correspondance dure trois mois. Le résultat du projet sera exposé à la Galerie Imago au premier étage du Centre culturel Aberdeen, le vendredi 25 avril dès 20h. Entrée libre et ouvert à tous.

Imago and the Frye Festival continue their collaboration for the the second edition of Épistola, a creation project which involves the pairing of a writer and a printmaker.

The writer sends a handwritten letter by mail to the printmaker. It can be a word, a sentence, a poem, anything. The artist answers by mail with an image, an object, something. They begin a three month correspondence. The result of the project will be shown at Galerie Imago, on the first floor of the Aberdeen Cultural Centre on April 25, 8pm. Free admission and open to all.
