Eyelevel Gallery lance son programme d'expositions itinérantes avec la 6e Biennale de multiples et de livres d’artistes. Voyageant dans une voiture louée, ERI 6: Travail & Loisirs visitera plusieurs centres d'artistes autogérés dans la région de l'Atlantique.
Qu'est-ce que la «productivité» signifie dans le contexte de l'art actuel? Dans un contexte industriel, le mot renvoie à l'augmentation de la production avec le profit comme but. Comment discuter de la productivité en tant qu' artistes et travailleurs post-industriels? ERI 6: Travail & Loisirs propose la production d'ouvrages imprimés, de livres d'artistes, et de multiples comme une stratégie pour réimaginer les activités faites à la main à la fois laborieuses et reposantes. Par sa structure et son contenu, ERI 6: Travail & Loisirs considèrent ces questions de façon informelle et critique.
Eyelevel Gallery launches its offsite exhibition program by taking the 6th Printed Matter Biennale on the road. ERI 6: Labour & Leisure will pack into a rented car and tour artist-run centres in the Atlantic Region.
What does 'productivity' mean in an art context? In an industrial context, the word refers to increased production with the goal of profit. How do we discuss productivity as artists—and other post-industrial workers? ERI 6: Labour & Leisure proposes the production of printed matter and multiples as a strategy for re-imagining hands-on work as both leisure and labour. Both casual and critical, the content of the exhibition and its structure consider these issues.
