Dans cet atelier, vous apprendrez à fabriquer un livre en utilisant la technique de la reliure à plat cousu. La reliure à plat cousu est une réinvention moderne de certaines techniques de reliure très anciennes. Il s'agit d'une structure de reliure polyvalente qui produit un livre à l'aspect lisse et fini, adapté aux journaux ou aux petites éditions. Les outils et le matériel seront fournis, mais si vous avez vos propres outils (tels qu'une plieuse en os, une alène, des ciseaux, une règle en métal), n'hésitez pas à les apporter. Aucune expérience n'est nécessaire.
Atelier offert en anglais seulement. Tous les matériaux sont inclus.

In this workshop you will learn how to make a book using the sewn board binding technique. The sewn board binding is a modern reinvention of some very old bookbinding techniques. It is a versatile binding structure that produces a book with a smooth and finished appearance suitable for journals or small editions. Tools and materials will be provided but if you have your own tools (such as a bone folder, awl, scissors, metal ruler) feel free to bring them along. No experience necessary.
Adults only, limit of 10 participants.
